This Calcite sculpture is reminiscent of the Japanese art known as Kintsugi, where broken pieces of china are glued back together using urushi lacquer, derived from the sap of the Chinese lacquer tree. This fabulous piece was carved by Robin Antar from a single block of Honeycomb Calcite. As you can see, the stone reflects light and appears to radiate sunlight. The stone was cut, ground, shaped and polished to a 12000 grit finish, while leaving certain sides raw in Antar’s signature style.
This gorgeous sculpture will be perfect on your dining table, or place it on your bedside table to set the mood for romance.
No two pieces are alike.
