Sand colored  Israeli Limestone 1999.

While I participated in an archaeological dig with my family, I came across this unusual piece of unattached limestone which I took as a souvenir (with permission, of course). The boot, which is a recurring theme in my work, represents an ordinary person who makes his mark in this world.  In this case, what came to me is a boot washed up on the shore; the contrast between an active and passive approach to life.
